On January 17, 2026, high school students from Edmonton were invited to take part in the 2026 High School Debate Tournament, organized by the Churchill Foundation and hosted by the University of Alberta Debate Society.

We’re super excited to share that our club’s co‑founders, Iris Wang and Henglin Xu, did amazingly well. They competed as a team and won First Place overall. Individually, Iris placed First, and Henglin placed Second.

Their success didn’t stop there. The students they coach also earned Top Three spots in both the team and individual categories in the junior high division.
