OUR TEAM

IRIS WANG

Co-Founder, President, Instructor

Iris is a passionate debater with a diverse set of skills and a variety of achievements in various formats and tournaments, including championing the junior categories of various national tournaments. She has also championed and top spoken various local events, qualified for the elimination rounds of international tournaments, and achieved speaker awards internationally. Her favourite style is Worlds, but she also has experience in CNDF, British Parliamentary, and Public Forum. She enjoys snacking.   

HENGLIN XU

Co-Founder, Vice President, Instructor

Henglin is an experienced speaker with backgrounds in both debate and speech, being qualified with accomplishments such but not limited to: Champion of Autumn International Debate Tournament 2022, Junior Champion of McGill University Debating Championships 2023, etc. He is highly experienced in BP and Worlds, but is also well versed in CNDF and PF. In his free time, he enjoys reading, chatting with friends, and playing games.

JOYCE CAI

Instructor

Joyce is a seasoned speaker with experience in both speech and debate. She’s competed in and placed at various debate tournaments, including this year’s Edmonton 2025 senior beginner regionals, where she was top team and speaker. She is well versed in most debate formats, but she prefers British Parliamentary (so she doesn’t have to do prep work.) She’s an avid musician and music enjoyer in her free time.

VIVIAN SUI

Assistant Instructor

Vivian is a qualified speaker with considerable class and competition experience. She has many achievements within a variety of different debate tournaments including, Champion of Vancouver Pre-WSDC 2025, Placed Speaker and Finalist at US Nationals 2025, etc. Her favourite style is Worlds, but she has also competed in CNDF and BP. In her free time, she likes reading, art, and listening to music.
